Just hopped on a bus to go join my camino family from last week! I have a four day weekend this week because the town I work in, Alcalá de Henares has tomorrow as a holiday to celebrate Cervantes who was from Alcalá. In honor of Cervantes the town has a huge medieval fair lining the plaza on all the main streets. It's an exciting event with plenty of typical treats to taste and savory plates to tauntalize those taste buds. I made a fatal mistake last year and ordered a kebab... They are delicious but in Alcalá they are much too big for one person. I, of course had bigger eyes than my stomach and felt so sick after attempting to finish the kebab. I literally haven't ordered a kebab since. They are everywhere in Madrid but I still can't get over that nasty experience... Haha
Anyways... I can't wait to meet up with my little camino community! I've seen on Facebook that they have added a few hikers but also have lost a de was well. One last night was in the hospital for a foot infection. :/ I hope he is doing better! Lucky for me however they all stayed in Burgos last night and will be there today. I bought my bus ticket wishfully hoping that we would end up in the same place. I guess God has a way of pulling through. :)

Also trying my hand at a bit of Italian cooking. I found some fresh clams at the local grocery store and decided to give it a go! Katie was my guinea pig! Surprisingly, it was DELICIOUS!!!!! I was so proud! Haha
